Portrait Art #2
A veritable living patchwork, Pop culture is constantly evolving and occurs in unique ways across time and space. It forms currents and eddies, and represents a complex of interdependent perspectives and values that influence society and its institutions in various ways.
There is in these aqueous shapes with shimmering and salient colors, winding in a circle like a nebulous farandole, the emanation of a form of modern poetry taking us into the abyssal and glacial meanders of digital fluids.
Our thoughts wander in a game of mirrors, constantly interfering with each other, and we are lost in all these illusions, in our muddled dreams and in our own contradictions. Where is the truth in these wandering emanations like so many aphorisms and great theories?
Attracted by acid colors and syrupy textures, the gaze of the lethargic spirit remains glued to the screen, like a fly caught in the trap of a Drosera. Allegory of man mechanically consuming appetizing images on his phone for his mind, acting like a narcotic serum on his volition.
This work is an ode to the flexible and interactive properties of fluids and colors. Presented in a multitude of layers where the play of transparencies constantly mix the colors, the syrupy, protean, frivolously colored substances wander in an interdimensional environment, meet, attract, mix, separate in a movement and a permanent harmony.
